The dialogue drew the participation of high-level officials and business leaders from both Viet Nam and Indonesia.

In his remarks, General Secretary To Lam Viet Nam has transformed itself from an underdeveloped nation into a symbol of stability and growth after nearly four decades of reform, door opening, and international integration under the Communist Party of Viet Nam's comprehensive leadership.

There remain abundant opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries, driven by their strengths and the momentum of their strategic partnership, said the General Secretary.

To also took the occasion to call on the Indonesian Government to encourage Indonesian businesses to expand their footholds in Viet Nam while creating conditions and continuing to support Vietnamese investors in expanding their investment and business activities in Indonesia, especially in projects relating to science, technology, and innovation, expressing his wish that Indonesia would become one of the top investors in Viet Nam.

He suggested the two countries' investors seek investment opportunities in such areas as science, technology, innovation, research and development; chip and semiconductor, AI, and Internet of Things (IoT) industries, hydrogen, and renewable energy, fintech, financial centers, biotechnology, and healthcare.

Viet Nam pledges to creating favorable conditions for effective investment and business activities, towards sustainable development goals of both sides, the Party leader reassured.

He also vowed to pay special attention and create best possible conditions for the business community, including foreign-invested enterprises in Viet Nam.

On this occasion, To witnessed the signing and exchange of business cooperation documents between the two countries' agencies and businesses in various areas, including education and training, green transition, green financing, real estate, smart urban areas, industrial zones, logistics, digital transformation, and cybersecurity services, and hi-tech agriculture.

The two-way trade turnover between Viet Nam and Indonesia fetched US$16 billion in 2024, representing a year-on-year increase of 16 percent./.
