Pham made the call during his reception for Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Chairman of the WEF in Ha Noi on Monday.

Both sides expressed their delight on the intensive and substantive development in the Viet Nam-WEF relations.

The opening of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City last September, the second of its kind in Southeast Asia and the 19th globally in the network of the WEF, marked an important milestone in Viet Nam-WEF relations, they noted.

The Prime Minister spoke highly of the profound vision and strategy of Prof. Schwab, adding that the forum has affirmed its leading role and reputation in the world.

He urged the WEF to work with Viet Nam to make the center a driving force in promoting the application of advanced technologies in key areas of the economy.

Pham called on Prof. Klaus Schwab and the WEF to continue support for Viet Nam in attracting high-quality investments from global corporations and investment funds in prioritized areas such as high technology, energy transition, green economy, and sustainable infrastructure development.

Professor Klaus Schwab, for his part, spoke highly of the Vietnamese Government's socio-economic management, especially in maintaining impressive economic growth in recent years amid global uncertainties.

Viet Nam could grow into a US$2 trillion economy by 2050, he said, expressing his impressions on the dynamism of the young Vietnamese generation to catch up with smart technology trends, which is regarded as the nation's great competitive advantages to achieve its strategic development goals.

Earlier, Prof. Klaus Schwab paid a two-day visit to Viet Nam's Ho Chi Minh City, where he had a meeting with Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Municipal People's Committee Phan Van Mai and visited the Viet Nam Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution./.
