As more and more Vietnamese businesses are using international e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay and Alibaba to expand market, experts have advised domestic firms to pay greater attention to the protection of trademark in the cyberspace, especially during online exporting activities.

Implementing policies to support enterprises

About 81,300 enterprises registered their establishment or resumed operation in the first four months of this year, up 3% over the same period last year, according to data from the General Statistics Office under the Ministry of Planning and Investment. However, there were also 86,400 enterprises that withdrew from the market, up 12.2% over the same period last year, which is much higher than the number of newly established businesses.

Number of agricultural businesses records positive increase

According to the General Statistics Office, in the first quarter of 2024, the country recorded more than 36,200 newly established enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%. Agro-forestry-fisheries is one of the industries reporting an increase of 10% in newly established businesses over the same period last year.
