Vietnam eyes 8 billion USD in fruit, vegetable export value in 2025

Vietnam's fruit and vegetable sector aims to achieve 8 billion USD in export revenue in 2025, building on significant market expansion and sound growth, according to the Vietnam Fruits and Vegetables Association (VINAFRUIT).

Vietnam ran a trade surplus of 4.07 billion USD in the first quarter this year, with 79.17 billion USD in export revenue and 75.1 billion USD in imports, down 11.9% and 14.7% annually, respectively, reported the General Statistics Office on March 29.

Rice exports hit 1.72 billion USD in H1 2022

Vietnam exported 3.52 million tonnes of rice in the first half of 2022, for a year-on-year rise of 16.2%, raking in about 1.72 billion USD. Rice was one of 28 commodities with export revenue exceeding 1 billion USD in the first half.

Hanoi’s export revenue set to increase by 5 percent

Hanoi expects to raise its export revenue by 5 percent this year, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade has said.
