The total export turnover of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products reached a record high of 62.5 billion USD in 2024, an 18.7% increase compared to 2023, announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD). The record trade surplus of these industries also hit a new record of 17.9 billion USD, marking a 46.8% growth.

Agricultural, forestry and fishery exports reached US$40.08 billion, while imports stood at US$28.28 billion in the first eight months of 2024.

Total foreign trade in agricultural, forestry and aquatic products hit some 31.8 billion USD in the first four months of 2022, an increase of 7 percent against the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Vietnam’s forestry export value reached 15.87 billion USD in 2021, a year-on-year rise of 20 percent. The sector targets 16 billion USD in exports this year.
