Vietnam’s rice exports are expected to reach a record turnover of about 5 billion USD this year, as high demand from many large and traditional markets, such as the Philippines and Indonesia, continues.

Overseas shipment of fruits was estimated at US$510 million in January, up 24.9 percent against last month and 12.1 percent against the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Significant efforts needed to realise 4.3-billion-USD shrimp exports

Amid difficulties in export markets, significant efforts are required for Vietnam to meet its goal of 4.3 billion USD in shrimp export revenue this year, said Truong Dinh Hoe, General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
