Tax revenue from e-commerce surges
The Department of Taxation under the Ministry of Finance has reported a sharp rise in tax revenue from e-commerce in the first months of 2025.
Tax revenue up 4.4% year-on-year in January
Tax revenue in January was estimated at 165.7 trillion VND (7.06 billion USD), or 12.1% of the ordinance estimate, up 4.4% year-on-year, the General Department of Taxation reported on January 31.
E-commerce tax collection still "modest"
Tax revenue from e-commerce activities has increased gradually over the years, but is still modest compared to the actual development of this activity.
