Foreign suppliers pay US$105M in taxes in first two months

A total of 130 foreign suppliers have registered, declared, and paid taxes worth more than VND2.7 trillion (US$105 million) through the General Department of Taxation’s e-portal in the first two months of this year.

Foreign suppliers pay nearly 8.7 trillion VND in taxes this year

A total of 120 foreign suppliers have registered, declared, and paid taxes worth more than 8.68 trillion VND (341 million USD) through the General Department of Taxation (GDT)’s e-portal this year, up by 26% year-on-year and 74% compared to the annual target.

Budget revenue from taxes hits 76% of yearly estimate

The tax sector collected more than 1,048 trillion VND (nearly 43 billion USD) for the State budget in the first nine months of 2023, equivalent to 76.3% of the estimate for the whole year and 94.9% compared to the figure in the same period last year, the General Department of Taxation reported on October 4.

"Business household digital map" aids in the open and transparent management of taxes

Previously, business household information was disclosed manually, was not visually displayed, and was not easily accessed and looked up. To improve the efficiency of disclosing business household information under the Law on Tax Administration, the General Department of Taxation (GDoT) has implemented the function of a "Business household digital map " as part of the process of promoting digital and electronic transformation in tax management.

The taxation sector’s total state budget revenue in the first seven months of 2023 was estimated at 868.6 trillion VND (36.6 billion USD), equal to 63.3% of the estimate, and 94.5% compared with that of the same period last year, the General Department of Taxation released on August 4.

According to the General Department of Taxation(GDoT), there were 33 localities with budget revenue progress of less than 50% of the estimate in the first six months of 2023; there were 10 out of 20 receiptsand taxes with lower revenue compared to the same period last year. To fully complete the budget collection task, the Tax sector has implementedseven key tasks, particularly measures to combat budget revenue loss and compensate for declining revenue.

To control inflation in accordance with the National Assembly's target, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), as the Standing Committee of the Price Steering Committee, has utilized a variety of tools, including tax, fee, and charge reductions, since the start of the year, contributing to stabilizing price and limiting negative impacts on socioeconomic development.

Budget revenues from taxes up 16.7% in two months

The tax sector collected an estimated 325.78 trillion VND (13.73 billion USD) for the State budget in the first two months of 2023, a year-on-year rise of 16.7%, and equivalent to 23.7% of the yearly estimate, the General Department of Taxation has reported.
