Viettel is the most valuable brand in Viet Nam in 2024 with a brand value of over US$8.9 billion

The brand was announced at a the 'Top 100 Most Valuable Brands in Viet Nam 2024' award ceremony which was organized by Viet Nam Brand Purpose and Brand Finance in Ho Chi Minh City on October 11.

Viettel is the leading telecommunications company with a large network and a range of services.

With a brand value of over US$8.9 billion, Viettel is recognized not only for its efforts to develop new products and services but also for its positive contributions to the community through sustainable initiatives.

In 2023, Viettel reported revenues of VND172.5 trillion (US$7.04 billion), 5.4 percent up from the previous year. Its overseas revenues surged by 20 percent. It was the leader in the telecom market in six countries: Haiti, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, East Timor, and Burundi.

Dairy company Vinamilk ranks second with its brand value worth US$2.6 billion. The ability to create added value from its business activities has helped the company maintain a strong reputation and position in the Vietnamese dairy industry over its half-century development journey.

Holding the third position in the top most valuable brands is VNPT with a valuation of US$2.6 billion, down 3 percent. Focusing on innovation and application of digital technology is key factor for VNPT to maintain its competitiveness and high brand value.

In 2024, the banking industry recorded impressive growth with a total brand value reaching US$13.8 billion, an increase of 10 percent compared to the previous year. Vietcombank is the most valuable bank in the rankings, with an increase of 7 per cent to US$2 billion valuation.

In the field of technology, FPT has made a breakthrough by jumping 6 places on the ranking compared to 2023, with the brand value reaching approximately US$1 billion. Product innovation, creative advertising strategies, and the ability to meet to consumer needs are important factors that help FPT maintain growth and enhance brand value.

Alex Haigh, Managing Director of Brand Finance Asia Pacific, said, thanks to cooperation programs, Vietnamese businesses take advantage of global knowledge and in-depth understanding of the domestic market.
